I have over 25 years of experience in writing and editing and have also worked in public relations and marketing. At Beth Israel Hospital, a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, I was the writer and editor of a 32-page health magazine with a circulation of 10,000. For this I received a media award in addition to other commendations. I have also written and edited profiles, press releases, speeches, and articles for other academic publications and institutions. Through community education programs such as Rec&Ed, I teach college admission essay and application workshops. Privately, I guide students in choosing their best topic to write about, in strengthening their essays and applications for admission, and in considering things they may not have thought about in their applications. I am the mother of a son and daughter who attended Ann Arbor's Huron High School and then went on to Princeton and Harvard. They are now in graduate school at Stanford and Berkeley. I have been fortunate to have seen many parts of the world including India, Korea, Japan, Thailand, Africa, Egypt, Europe, and Australia which is useful in my college essay and application service. When time allows, I work on writing short non-fiction stories. | ||
